Meet Dr. Reece Malone

My office is located at the North Trauma & Resource Centre located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I hold a degree in sociology with a focus on gender and sexuality, a Masters of Public Health (MPH) and a Doctorate of Human Sexuality (DHS). I am a Certified Sex Therapist (CST), a Certified Sexuality Educator (CSE) and Certified Sexologist (ACS). My background provides a broad and insightful perspective on the complexity and diversity of human sexuality. I offer sex therapy and sexuality counseling, consultation, skills and strategies to individuals, couples and families, as well as public presentations, workshops, and professional development seminars. I (including my collaborative colleagues and associates), welcome to discuss all sexual lifestyles, sexual orientations/attractions, and gender identities.

As a respected sexuality educator and sexologist, I have delivered over 600 public speaking engagements throughout Canada and the United States. I am a published author, peer reviewer and have appeared on local and national television, radio, newsprint, and social media outlets including: 91.9 Fresh FM (Winnipeg), CBC National – television and radio, Global National, Canadian School Counsellor, Family Therapy Magazine, Men’s Journal, and Women/Men Magazine. Over the years I have been privileged to have worked with a number of national and international bodies as a consultant, resource and program developer to: The World Health  Organization/Pan American Health Organization, The Public Health Agency of Canada, The Alberta’s Children’s Hospital, The Canadian AIDS Treatment and Information Exchange as well as several other social and health service agencies, K-12 public schools, post-secondary education institutions, human resource agencies, and corporate businesses.

Whether you need support, understanding, sex or intimacy therapy, more sexuality knowledge, or to build your professional capacity, my team and I are committed to providing you with the best possible care and quality professional services. I welcome and work together with other sex therapists, marriage and family therapists, family physicians, nurse practitioners, counselors, faith leaders, elders, gynecologists, urologists, physiotherapists, as well as other allied health care providers.

Booking a private appointment or consultation does not require a medical referral. For your convenience, I am available in person, by phone, as well as Skype especially for clients outside of Winnipeg.

Bio

Dr. Reece Malone is a certified sexologist through the American College of Sexologists and holds a Masters of Public Health and Doctorate of Human Sexuality from the Institute for Advanced Study in Human Sexuality (San Francisco, California). Dr. Malone is a certified sexuality educator through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists, and a Florida State certified sex therapist through the Florida Postgraduate Sex Therapy Training Institute (West Palm Beach, Florida). Dr. Malone provides sexuality consultation, therapy and counseling to individuals and families as well as public and professional sexuality presentations throughout North America.

Dr. Malone previously served as the Education Program Coordinator at the Rainbow Resource Centre (Winnipeg, Manitoba) specializing in the delivery of public education and consultation on sexual orientation and gender identity. He also served as the Program and Clinical Coordinator of the Transgender Health Program at Mount Carmel Clinic (Winnipeg, Canada) to establish programs and protocols for clinicians and administrators when working with transgender and gender independent populations.

Dr. Malone’s current volunteerism includes answering sexuality questions for allexperts.com, serving on the Ethics Advisory Committee of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists, and sitting on the Education Committee of the Canadian Professional Association for Transgender Health.
